BACKGROUND

I discovered my love for writing at age 8, when I wrote my first story. It was destiny... it was literally in my DNA... both of my grandmothers were career English teachers. Many journals later, I earned my Bachelor's in Communications & English Lit from Oglethorpe University, a private liberal arts college in Atlanta.

In the meantime, I wrote for a daily newspaper in Atlanta, won national poetry contests, worked in public relations and admin for various corporate and private companies, and aced major courses like business writing, media and public relations. As a hobby I would always write for other people - things like resumees, artist bio's,  and even research papers (shh!). Proofreading and editing are my secret obsessions. True story!

I kept my creative side alive too. For several years I wrote and recorded rap lyrics as 'Charm,' a southern sweetheart with a soulful sound and a spiritual message.

After earning my degree, I became a paralegal and gained many years of experience with legal and technical writing. I became fluent in 'legalease,' and sharpened my proofreading skills to a fine point.  Then I moved to Los Angeles and started a company, Put It In Writing, LLC, handling business writing jobs for small business owners and individuals who can use a wordsmith.

I've finally decided to consolidate my writing talent, skills and experience in one comprehensive package. And here you have it!
